Founded By Experience
Alex Austin founded Paddock Capital after more than a decade supporting small businesses across consultancy and lending roles, including time at the UK’s largest small business lending platform.
Seeing first-hand how capable SMEs and their advisers were often let down by an opaque and unregulated funding market, Alex set out to build something better. Paddock Capital exists to provide accountants and their clients with a higher standard of SME funding support, combining modern lending expertise with clear judgement, integrity and long term thinking.
Alex is Managing Director of Paddock Capital, a steering committee member of the Guild of Business Finance Professionals, and a guest lecturer in Alternative Finance at the University of Warwick.
